It's official. The Catholic Knight is retired.  I'm hanging up the helmet and passing the torch. There will be no more articles, no more commentaries, no more calls to action. THIS BLOG IS CLOSED. I've spent a very long time thinking about this, I believe the time has come, and is a bit overdue.  I want to thank my readers for everything, but most especially for your encouragement and your willingness to go out there and fight the good fight. So, that being the case, I've spend the last several weeks looking for bloggers who are fairly active, and best represent something akin to the way I think and what I believe.  I recommend the following blogs for my readers to bookmark and check on regularly. DNC Now Officially the Party Of Gay-Marriage

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: Though Howard Dean may not officially speak for all Democrats, he does officially speak for the Democratic Party. At least that's what he's paid to do. Howard Dean has now OFFICIALLY put the national Democratic Party (DNC) on the path to becomming the party of Gay-Marriage. In his attempt to appeal to the radical Left, his statement today is sure to alienate what remains of the dwindling moderate center. This ain't your grandpa's party anymore. Now, a vote for the DNC is a vote for Gay-Marriage, no matter how you slice it. In other words; if you're a Democrat, and you think Gay-Marriage is wrong, than according to the official leader of the Democratic Party, you are outdated and a bigot!...

Howard Dean: Decision to Uphold Traditional Marriage “Outdated and Bigoted”

WASHINGTON, July 7, 2006 ( – Howard Dean, the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, lashed out against the recent decision of the New York Court of Appeals to uphold the right of the state legislature to uphold traditional marriage as between a man and a woman.

Speaking officially for the Democratic Party, Howard Dean issued a paid press release immediately after the Appeals Court’s decision came through. “As Democrats,” said the release, “we believe that every American has a right to equal protection under the law and to live in dignity. And we must respect the right of every family to live in dignity with equal rights, responsibilities, and protections under the law.”

Dean continued, “Today’s decision by the New York Court of Appeals, which relies on outdated and bigoted notions about families, is deeply disappointing, but it does not end the effort to achieve this goal.” Dean, who has been a vociferous supporter of abortion and homosexual marriage, legalized same-sex civil unions as governor of Vermont in 2000...
