It's official. The Catholic Knight is retired.  I'm hanging up the helmet and passing the torch. There will be no more articles, no more commentaries, no more calls to action. THIS BLOG IS CLOSED. I've spent a very long time thinking about this, I believe the time has come, and is a bit overdue.  I want to thank my readers for everything, but most especially for your encouragement and your willingness to go out there and fight the good fight. So, that being the case, I've spend the last several weeks looking for bloggers who are fairly active, and best represent something akin to the way I think and what I believe.  I recommend the following blogs for my readers to bookmark and check on regularly. Pick one as your favourite, or pick them all. They are all great..... In His Majesty's Service, THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT

Left Wingers Preparing To Use Media & Government To Persecute Christians in USA

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: Twenty years from now, will the history books read like this?
In the early years of the 21st century, Left-Wing operatives prepared for their persecution of American Christian institutions by simple information gathering. The main objective was not to dig up evidence of impropriety, through such evidence would be beneficial if it were found, but rather to simply project the "appearance of impropriety" to the news media. This "appearance of impropriety" created fear and suspicion among the general populace, thus setting the stage for anti-Christian legislation a few years later. This greatly curbed the influence of traditional Christianity in American politics.
It could happen. It has happened before in other nations. Even in the United States, entire Congressional hearings were conducted on religious organizations -- such as the 'Knights of Columbus' -- because of an "appearance of impropriety" created by malicious slander and libel newspaper articles. The extreme Left Wing, now controlling the Democratic Party and the major news media outlets (ABC, CBS, NBC, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, USA Today, etc.) do have an agenda here folks, and it's one that's not friendly to traditional Christians (Catholic, Protestant or Evangelical). The goal here is power, and the largest obstacle to the Left retaking power is conservative American churches. Therefore, in order to regain the reigns of power, all obstacles must be eliminated, and if that means trampling over religious liberty in this nation -- than as far as the Left is concerned -- SO BE IT! The following story illustrates the early stages of this campaign...
A Washington organization funded by billionaire George Soros has filed Freedom of Information Act requests with the U.S. Secret Service demanding information about the visits by Christians to the White House.

The Christians' response?

"Bring it on!"

That's from American Family Association founder Donald Wildmon, who told WND that he's "scared to death. I'm shaking in my boots. I won't sleep a wink tonight. The world has come to an end!"

Seriously, sir, how do you feel about such a group wanting information about your visits in Washington?

"If you go fishing in a pond, and there's no fish in the pond, you won't catch anything," he told WND.

Wildmon was just one of nine Christian conservative leaders who were named in yesterday's FOIA demand by Citizens for Ethics and Responsibility in Washington.

Others were James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family; Gary L. Bauer, president of Our America Values; Wendy Wright, president of Concerned Women for America; Louis P. Sheldon, of Traditional Values Coalition; Sheldon's daughter Andrea Lafferty; Paul Weyrich, of the Free Congress Foundation; Tony Perkins, of Family Research Council; and Jerry Falwell, of Jerry Falwell Ministries.

CREW said it wanted all records "regardless of format, medium, or physical characteristics" that would relate "to any visit that any and all of the following individuals made to the White House or the residence of the Vice President from January 1, 2001, to the present."

CREW also wants the taxpayers to pay for the costs of records production....
