It's official. The Catholic Knight is retired.  I'm hanging up the helmet and passing the torch. There will be no more articles, no more commentaries, no more calls to action. THIS BLOG IS CLOSED. I've spent a very long time thinking about this, I believe the time has come, and is a bit overdue.  I want to thank my readers for everything, but most especially for your encouragement and your willingness to go out there and fight the good fight. So, that being the case, I've spend the last several weeks looking for bloggers who are fairly active, and best represent something akin to the way I think and what I believe.  I recommend the following blogs for my readers to bookmark and check on regularly. Pick one as your favourite, or pick them all. They are all great..... In His Majesty's Service, THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT

Liberal L.A. Diocese Reaps The Whirlwind

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: The sex-abuse settlement in the Diocese of Los Angeles was predictable. In fact it's old news. The only thing new about it is that it's finally been made official. Readers of this blog know what my feelings are about Cardinal Roger Mahony. The man has let so much happen in his diocese that I don't know were to begin. The Vatican has rapped Mahony on the knuckles in the past for things he's said and done. If there is any criminal activity on his part, I'm sure he will be prosecuted. So far no charges have been filed, and I don't know if there ever will be. In my opinion, I believe Cardinal Mahony's biggest crime is nothing more than Liberal incompetence. Five years ago, it was reported that Cardinal Mahony sought the resignation of Cardinal Law over the Boston sex-abuse scandal. That being the case, I think it's time for Cardinal Mahony to seek his own resignation - that is - if he doesn't want to be called a hypocrite upon everything else.

Nevertheless, in spite of all this, I stand behind my previous post 100%...
