One Step Closer To Anglican Rite

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: One more Episcopalian bishop is crossing the Tiber to Rome. See details here. What does this mean? It means that the Pastoral Provision for the Anglican Use in the Roman Catholic Church now has three former Episcopalian bishops. The potential now exists for the reestablishment of the Anglican Rite if (or when) Rome decides to act. We know that Pope Benedict XVI sent an encouraging letter to conservative Anglicans back when he was Cardinal Ratzinger, but for the moment, that's all we know about this pope's intentions toward the Anglican Use Pastoral Provision.
