It's official. The Catholic Knight is retired.  I'm hanging up the helmet and passing the torch. There will be no more articles, no more commentaries, no more calls to action. THIS BLOG IS CLOSED. I've spent a very long time thinking about this, I believe the time has come, and is a bit overdue.  I want to thank my readers for everything, but most especially for your encouragement and your willingness to go out there and fight the good fight. So, that being the case, I've spend the last several weeks looking for bloggers who are fairly active, and best represent something akin to the way I think and what I believe.  I recommend the following blogs for my readers to bookmark and check on regularly. Pick one as your favourite, or pick them all. They are all great..... In His Majesty's Service, THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT

Will Obama And Biden Become Dictators?

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: Since the election of Barack Obama and Joe Biden some information has surfaced from the international community that sheds new light on recent comments made by the Vice President Elect. After receiving an official intelligence briefing, Biden made the following comments at a Seattle campaign rally...
"Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking... Remember I said it standing here. if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. And he's gonna have to make some really tough -- I don't know what the decision's gonna be, but I promise you it will occur."
Then at a Democratic fundraiser he said the following...
“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate, And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”
Now that the election is over, ominous warnings have emerged from international officials. They seem to warn that a terrorist nuclear attack on the United States (or some other Western nation) is eminent in the very near future. Such executive orders have already been put into place by President Bush to be used when the need arises...

It was issued with the dual designation of NSPD-51, as a National Security Presidential Directive, and HSPD-20, as a Homeland Security Presidential Directive.

The directive establishes under the office of the president a new national continuity coordinator whose job is to make plans for "National Essential Functions" of all federal, state, local, territorial and tribal governments, as well as private sector organizations to continue functioning under the president's directives in the event of a national emergency...

The threat of an American dictator has not been seen since the American Civil War, when President Abraham Lincoln suspended habeas corpus and imprisoned Americans without filing charges against them, or even telling them why they were being arrested. Lincoln also imposed federal control of public and private institutions during the War. Even President Roosevelt, during World War II, did not implement such sweeping suspensions of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Could a future President Obama imitate his Civil War predecessor? The threat has been a real possibility every since President Bush signed NSPD-51 and HSPD-20 on May 9, 2007.
