Obama Owns US Catholic Church
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: Alleged President Obama's nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the United States Supreme Court is a direct snub to the pope, Vatican, and US Catholic Church. It has become obvious now that Obama is nominating alleged Catholics, who oppose the teachings of the Church, to the highest offices in the land for the express purpose of rubbing the abysmal state of US Catholicism in the face of the pope and the Vatican. In other words, these appointments are Obama's way of telling the Holy Father "I own your Church here in America." The Catholic Knight opposes the nomination of this alleged Catholic from this alleged president.

Moreover, it shows Barry's utter contempt for orthodox catholics and the real teachings of the church. All of his photo-ops, such as at Notre Shame, are efforts to fool the typical catholic into thinking that the "President" is in good graces with Catholic leaders. So far the Vatican has rejected all his pseudo-Catholic nominees for ambassador. The real snub is of course Barry's by-passing the Vatican during his up-coming trip to Europe. However, the Holy Father would be well advised to do what Pius XI did when Hitler came to visit Mussolini. The Holy Father was "conveniently" on retreat at Castel Gandalfo. Pete Frey
Lucifer uses many methods to challenge Christ and his Church. Obama is his latest messenger.
Bravo! Catholic Knight.
I certainly like your use of modifiers - Alleged.
Judie Brown has a great perspective on how Obama has been testing both the American Church and the Vatican - probing with bayonets, as it were, and when finding soft or little resistence, forging ahead. As she said, the Vatican has passed muster, according to Orthodox standards. The American Catholic Church has not.

"So far the Vatican has rejected all his pseudo-Catholic nominees for ambassador."
The Vatican has rejected this accusation. See the link below.

I'm a little more optimistic about Sotomayor. Fox News reported she has sided with pro-life on at least one occasion. Just as Souter was the stealth pro-abortion judge, Sotomayer possibly could be a stealth pro-life judge. We should pray for her, and if this is hopefully Obama's only Supreme Court nomination of his presidency, we could be in much better shape than we thought. I would gladly take a pro-life liberal over a pro-abortion Republican any day.
According to "Anonymous" the "Vatican" rejects the rejection theory.
Well, of course The Catholic News Service has never espoused or reported Heterodox views, has it? The "source" for the article is a Jesuit. ahem.
FTA:
"The Vatican has not been in the habit of vetting the personal beliefs or ideas of candidates before accepting them as ambassadors, they said."
"There have been occasions in the last two years when the Vatican has objected to ambassadorial candidates -- from Argentina, in the case of a divorced Catholic with a live-in partner, and from France, where the candidate was an openly gay Catholic in a union with another man."
What exactly about the Argentinian or French candidates was NOT about applied "beliefs" or "ideas?"
Would a candidate have to be a proven baby murderer to be disallowed? Decidedly not. The Vatican has repeatedly stated that Abortion and Euthanasia are NEVER allowable. People holding dissenting viewpoints are therefore Heterodox by definition. Persons holding public office who actively promote Abortion by the name of Choice or any other euphemism, are in error.
Raphael, I humbly suggest you find other reasons for hope or optimism. Fox News and other dubious sources tout Sotomayer's claim to Pro-Life allegiance from her views on the Mexico City Policy. Briefly, that U.S. policy forbade the use of U.S. foreign aid for abortion. Sotomayer's position defended the power of DESIGNATION itself, not the discriminating reason for the designation. In other words her position indicates she would also likely defend Obama's revocation of the Mexico City Policy.
To wit: "she ultimately held that the claim failed under rational basis review because the government 'is free to favor the anti-abortion position over the pro-choice position' with public funds."
(Executive Order by ANY [Alleged] President can reverse this government order)
