Agreed. Our national leaders are hypocrites, along with most of our media, universities and courts. This is the fruit of Socialism. It ALWAYS leads to death - death of the innocent unborn to death of the weak and disabled. America embraced Socialism in the 1930s and by the 1960s God was removed from all public buildings. By the 1970s innocent unborn babies were made expendable. By the 1990s, euthanasia was legalized in 2 US states. By the turn of the century, human embryos were being "harvested" for embryonic stem cell research. Human life became a mere commodity. This is the fruit of Socialism. This is the government plantation. Smell it!
yes that is definitely a fact I dont like politics never did I didnt even want to vote last year because i didnt like either of the men who were running but we as catholics have got to stand our ground and to stand up for what is right and shows these hypocrites whats right and what wrong!

Warning to all: I'm going to be sounding like a "Negative Nancy" her and the mood departs from my usual postings, but politics pinches a nerve in me, especially not that I care more about my faith and morals than before.
Seems to me like most people deserve the governments they want. Many people will not agree with me reading this, but to me politics represents what people want out of society and their moral and spiritual lives. I can be confident on your prior responses and postings that you Sir Knight, Sir Pete Frey, Sir scotju, and the few other frequent posters do not deserve these governments and seek better, however the majority are not in our camp. So without further adieu ...
Responsibility, order, consideration for others, respect of Jesus (and/or God) and for each other's human dignity = conservative/right wing.
Irresponsibility, selfishness, greed (in the form of welfare and ABUSED social assistance), rejection of Jesus (and/or God) and disregard for others (disguised as "human rights" e.g. Canada's human rights councils)= Liberalism, left wing. The actions of governments under those political spectrums speak for themselves.
Yes, I also am aware that people can be in the political party traditionally associated with one end of the spectrum and really be the other, however I am yet to find a liberal posing as a conservative. Fill me in when you find one.
As a personal opinion, after reading my big three media sources online (TCK, RealCatholicTV.com's Vortexes with Michael Voris, and SoCon or Bust with John Pachecho who is Canadian), It seems like Vatican II was the near death-knell for political consciousness combined with our faith and morals for Catholics in the developed nations. Catholic Answers is trying to bring forth an initiative called "The Five Non Negotiables" in time for the new USA election, but I seriously have my doubts it will reach the masses, nevermind the "Catholics" getting the message.
I look forward to the interesting responses the members of TCK will offer, positive, negative, and critical.

Young Canadian, you are basically correct in your disdain of the political process. When the Knight quoted the Declaration of Independence, perhaps inadvertently to the whole anti=Catholic masonic foundation of the USA. Jefferson's statement that governments derive their power from the consent of the governed clearly denies the authority of Christ and sets the state for mob rule as happened in the French revolution. America has been anti-catholic in its cradle, and masons like Jeffereson were all raised in the Lockian-Voltarian spirit of enlightenment: crush altar and throne and establish a dictatorship of the people. The "Creator" Jefferson references is NOT the God of Scripture, the Son of God, Jesus Christ, but a masonic imaage of an indifferent force to whom no one is accountable. Pete Frey
Indeed Pete, the "consent of the governed" is an anti-Catholic, anti-Christian and anti-Natural-Law phrase. For if the governed could truly have their way, there would be no consent to any government.
Nevertheless, the United States was born as a nation in rebellion, and every American is born a rebel, like it or not, simply by virtue of our American citizenship.
You know that I am a monarchist at heart, but only insofar as monarchs are subject to the Church, and not vice versa. Because in 1776 the English monarchy was (and still is) in that vice versa state, it is a rebel monarchy in itself, and so we could say that the English crown got what it deserved with the American Revolution. What comes around goes around - as they say.
Yes, the Masons founded America, but they could not do so without the cooperation of the Christians, most of whom were Protestants: Episcopalians, Presbyterians and Congregationalists. This is why you see so much appeal to Christian idealism in the masonic founding documents of America.
The purpose of my citation of the Declaration was to point out to the Socialists now running the U.S. government, that the very government they now control, was founded on the "consent of the governed." Regardless of the Masonic origin of this principle, it means the Socialists have no more right to rule us than the Protestant king of England. It was an "in your face" historic citation directed toward the Socialists now controlling the U.S. government.
The TEA Parties are evidence that the governed are beginning to withdraw their consent to the Socialists, primarily in the Democratic Party, but we know there are many Socialists in the Republican Party as well. This is why I support the TEA Parties, because at their heart, they are a rebellion against Socialism, regardless of the party the Socialism happens to manifest itself in. Neither Democratic-Socialism nor Republican-Socialism will be tolerated anymore. That is a step in the right direction no matter how you slice it. We the people have withdrawn our consent.
