(CNSNews.com) – A team of national security experts assembled by the conservative Center for Security Policy, a Washington, D.C., think tank, issued a report last week warning of that Shariah law--which they described as a "legal-political-military doctrine"--is the "preeminent totalitarian threat of our time."THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: I'm glad to see some honest clarity finally coming out on this issue. Unlike regular Muslims, the Islamists consist of mainly two groups - terrorists and moles. The terrorists are the obvious group. They're the one's out there strapping bombs to themselves and hijacking jet planes. The moles are a much more subtle group. They are those who live and work in the Western world alongside regular Muslims. Their goals are identical with the terrorists, but they disagree with the terrorist methods. Rather than using force against the Western world, they would instead impose Shariah law on the Western world using the West's own weaknesses against it. All throughout Europe, and in various places in the United States (including the Whitehouse), it seems that more and more high profile leaders are beginning to favor Shariah law. It starts subtly, with the notion that areas consisting of predominantly Muslim populations should be able to rule themselves using their own legal standards. Since those standards often surpass the bare minimum required by secular law, "limited Shariah" seems like a reasonable concession. There has even been talk about imposing Shariah rules on the nation's banking system, by none other than some U.S. bankers!
The team was led by retired Lt. Gen. William G. "Jerry" Boykin, the former deputy undersecretary of defense for intelligence, and Lt. Gen. Harry Edward Soyster, the former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. It also included, among others, James Woolsey, the former director of Central Intelligence Agency; retired Adm. James A. Lyons, the former commander in chief of the Pacific Fleet; Joseph E. Schmitz, the former inspector general of the Defense Department; Frank Gaffney, the former assistant secretary of defense for international security policy and current president of the Center for Security Policy; and former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew C. McCarthy, who successfully prosecuted Omar Abdel Rahman, the Muslim jihadist leader convicted of being the mastermind behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

It should be noted however that wherever Shariah has been permitted in the West, it has only grown and never decreased. Furthermore, in addition to Islamic immigration to Western nations, and the high birth rate among Muslim immigrants, the conversion rate to Islam has also skyrocketed over the last decade...
The converts to Islam are coming from all walks of life and all Christian denominations. Some are Catholic and others are Baptist. No prior religious affiliation seems to generate immunity from conversion. Not even the so-called "born again Christian" demographic can boast of immunity. Slowly but surely, the Western world is turning to Islam, and not even the United States of America is exempt. When the majority of the country is Muslim, it no longer matters where individuals come down on the issue of Shariah, whether it should be personal or public, because history tells us that it always ends up becoming public.
Our governments cannot help us in this, and indeed they have made it clear that they WILL NOT help us in this area. This is a matter entirely for the private citizens to do on their own. The good news is that the conversion rate from Islam to Christianity is just as high. The bad news is this is happening in Africa not Europe or North America. It doesn't have to be that way though. All it takes is for Christians to start acting like Christians again. With a more focused effort toward evangelizing Muslims, combined with a higher birth rate for Christians, we can still reverse this Shariah threat in the Western world. It is possible. Really. It truly is.

We(in the west) are experiencing what some call the 'Third great Jihad.' By immigration, and the fact that muslims have much higher birthrates, we are about two generations away from being just that,..muslim! Pray to Our Lady of Fatima!!
the west is surely doomed, and it has been done by outright design on the part of liberal elites, socialists and islamic infiltrators. Some naive Catholics, like Mark Shea, think you are a hysterical bigot if you mention stuff like this. Thank God, TCK and the folks over at What's Wrong With The World are not afraid to tell the truth about Muslims and their evil Sharia law!
Yes, the "bigotry" angle is one that is regularly employed by those who want to shut down conversation on this subject - be they Progressives or Islamists. You should see some of the messages I've already gotten for this post. Not only is the charge of "bigotry" common, but some of them are laced with truly offensive language which I could not republish here even if I wanted to. Of course, in the name of "tolerance" these same commenters also post some very hateful references toward Catholics. I guess that's par for the course.
The important thing to remember here is the Western distinction between "Muslims" and "Islamists," which I pointed out above. A Muslim is a person who believes Shariah is a personal and private code of conduct, whereas an "Islamist" is a person who beleives Shariah should be legislated into public law. What makes matters confusing is that Islamists don't call themselves that. They call themselves "Muslims." The term "Islamist" is purely a Western word that's is used to help non-Muslim Westerners discern the difference between various Islamic ideologies.
Again, it all comes to to Shariah, and where a particular Muslim stands on the issue. If a Muslim says it's a private code of practice to be conducted in one's own personal life, than he is simply a regular Muslim, or what the news media likes to call "moderate." Generally these people are no direct threat to anybody. However, if a Muslim says Shariah is more than a private code of conduct, and should be legislated into public law, than he is more than a Muslim, he is also an Islamist. It is the Islamist-Muslims that pose the greatest threat to the Western World.
Islam is not going to take over America or the West. Do you think any religion can survive the onslaught of secularism, atheism, and hedonism? They will lose their religion as Christians have lost their religion. Secularism's double sword of intellectual strength by claiming Science and hedonistic strength by liberality to indulge in anything cannot be beat. Only religion that will survive is one that makes no demands on its believers. Already Muslim birthrates are dropping in Europe.
