An Interesting Day...

Sunday, May 1, 2011...
Feast of St. Joseph The Worker...
Divine Mercy Sunday...
John Paul II Beatified...
Osama Bin Laden Shot in the Head!!!

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT:  As a Catholic and an American, yesterday will be forever marked as one of the most interesting days in my life.  In one day we celebrated the Second Sunday of Easter, Divine Mercy Sunday, and the Feast of St. Joseph, as we watched the beatification of Pope John Paul II and heard of the death of one of the world's most infamous mass murderers.  The latter was a surprise to all of us.  Yesterday was a celebration of life, and in a strange sort of way, it also became a day of justice too.  Let us remember yesterday with joy balanced with the fear of God.  For yesterday we celebrated life, and we beheld what happens to those who destroy it.

This reminds me of 1997, when Princess Diana's death over shadowed Mother Teresa's! It is most interesting how those on the 'other' side have the media in their pocket. Instead of Mother Teresa, the public saw images over and over again of Diana. Not to disparage the princess, but did she compare to Mother Teresa with regard to her message, work, or inspiration? I think not. And this week, well - recognizing the Divine Mercy of God, and honoring a prime servant of His as well as THE foster Father all have takern a back seat to evil. And what is so sad about the whole thing is that bin Laden now has no possibility to repent or come to believe in Christ. As with all things of the 'world', it's misguided and pointless.
