IN CONGRESS, JULY 4, 1776THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: The chronicling of the fall of Western civilization is all around us. From the economic implosion of the European Union to the decline of the United States dollar, from the rise of legalized abortion to the fall of traditional marriage; every aspect of our traditional Christian society is crumbling. The recent decision in the state of New York, to legalize "marriage" for sodomite relationships between members of the same gender, is yet one more paragraph in the chronicle of Western collapse and perhaps the conclusion of another chapter in the history of America's demise. The fall of New York to the government blessing of legalized sodomy is a great loss in the history of Christian civilization, and in spite of what it's supporters say, it will ultimately result in the social destruction of the State of New York.
The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America
When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

No, this destruction will not happen overnight, these things never do, and yes it is going to take time. Give it about ten to twenty years and we will begin to see the results. What will those results be? To summarize, what we will all witness first and foremost is the loss of religious liberty in New York, just as we have seen in Massachusetts, and will likely soon follow in the rest of the New England states. This of course will result in the exodus of conservative Christian families from the region. Since these families tend to produce the most children, they will take the region's youthful demographics with them, leaving New York, and the rest of New England with a graying population. This of course will negatively affect the economy of those regions, and that coming on the heels of the Great Recession/Depression we are already in. Social institutions in the region will collapse as well. Catholic Charities will likely be the first casualty, and we can probably expect them to close their doors within a couple years from the date of this writing. Other institutions will soon follow, and Catholic schools will find it increasingly difficult to educate children according to our religious beliefs. If you're a young Christian family, living anywhere in New England right now, probably the best thing you can do is GET OUT! The time has come to relocate to a Southern or South-Midwestern state (anything in, or south from, West Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri and Kansas). That's because the future of New England, the West Coast and the Rust Belt states is starting to look rather bleak for raising children, both for economic and social reasons. We must remember that both economic and social politics are simply two different branches of the same moral principles. America doesn't have a social problem nor an economic problem. America has a MORAL problem, and this moral problem is being played out in both economic and social politics, because both come from the same moral foundation. Young families need to get their kids to a place that is relatively "safer" to raise their children, so as to protect them from the corrupting influence of Western decadence. Getting these families near, or south from, the old Mason-Dixon line will be a short-term refuge that may buy us enough time to salvage what is left of this nation.
Now comes the cold harsh reality. My fellow citizens of the United States, I hope you're sitting down, because what I'm going to tell you may not surprise you, but it will trouble you. It has become increasingly more obvious now, without any doubt whatsoever, that the current United States federal republic WILL collapse.
It's a bit worse than that actually, because not only will the United States federal government collapse, but so will the state governments of nearly all the New England states, most of the Rust Belt, and probably the West Coast as well. I cannot put a time table on this collapse, because I cannot predict the future. I can only tell you what the coming trends are, based on the obvious signs. In other words, the writing is on the wall. If I were simply going to guess however, I think it would be safe to say that this American collapse will come within one Biblical generation at the latest (or within about 40 years). Believe me, the nations of the world are already preparing for that eventuality.
Now when people start predicting governmental collapse, of course, the worst case scenario often pops into mind. We think of such things as anarchy, riots in the street, chaos everywhere, civil war, etc. While all of these things are indeed possible, that doesn't mean it's going to happen that way. Government collapse can often happen in a quiet whimper rather than a loud noise, resulting in little more than a call to dissolve the old institutions and simply create new ones. For the United States, I imagine it will likely be something in between. Civil unrest will likely take place in those states that are the weakest, primarily those that have succumbed to the morality of abortion-on-demand and gay-marriage (the "culture of death"), thus driving out young families and reducing their economic growth and tax base. Other states, that will likely soon be receiving a large number of young families from the New England and West Coast exodus, will likely experience at least some small economic growth, with a relatively stable tax base. These factors will produce an American collapse that will likely see more civil unrest in the North and West, with less civil unrest (perhaps little to none) in the Southern Midwest to Southeast regions. Again, this is yet one more reason to relocate your young family if you have one. (Did I mention the largest growth for conservative and traditional Catholicism in America is located in the Southern Midwest and Southeast states?)
Now when the collapse comes, and it will come, there is going to be a lot of powers pulling in different directions. Some will push for secession and breakup of the American Union. However, when the time comes that will no longer be feasible. Namely because the Southern Midwestern states will likely have their act together, while the Northern and Western states most certainly will not. Breaking the Union up at that time will result in the West falling into anarchy and ultimately being plundered by Mexico and China. While the Northeastern states will simply stagnate in poverty until they are gobbled up by Canada or Europe. None of them will be able to support themselves. There will be a huge push from the international community to keep the United States intact as is, with only extreme outer regions breaking away for independence (Hawaii, Alaska and non-continental U.S. territories). The burden of national reconstruction and recovery will fall directly on those states that have their economic and social house in order, namely the South Midwest and Southeastern states, or the "Old South" as they call it. In other words, the post Civil-War mantra will likely become a prophecy -- "The South will rise again!" This time not in rebellion from the Union, but in salvation for the Union.
A constitutional convention will likely be called, in which these South Midwestern and Southeastern states will likely hold the most dominant role, calling the shots, while delegates from the North and West will be in little position to dictate anything since their states are gradually falling into anarchy. This constitutional convention will likely dictate only a few social mandates, such as the definition of traditional marriage, and the right of the states to regulate abortion. Beyond that, in accordance with the Old South tradition, states-rights will be the primary focus, decentralizing the whole federal government entirely, putting all social programs in the hands of the states, as well as the majority of taxation. It is likely the federal government will be forbidden from taxing the people directly ever again, and a strong barrier will be erected between the people and federal regulation. The federal government will inherit a new Constitution from this convention, which will be much more "confederate" in nature, leaving most of the power to the states, and restricting the federal government to national defense and interstate commerce. (I wouldn't even be surprised if a new tradition develops where state flags fly over the union flag as a symbolic gesture of the new order of things.) Yes, we will still have the "Bill of Rights," as it is simply a list of articles that can easily be transferred from one document to another without any difficulty, but I imagine it will be strengthened with more articles further defining the rights of the people and the states, while restricting the powers of the federal government. The United States of America that emerges from the coming collapse will be significantly different from what we know today. It will be smaller, leaner, less intrusive, and in many ways "better" than what currently exists. To get there however, we're going to have to go through the hard times first, and yes, those hard times are coming -- soon.
Make no mistake about it. History dictates that no government that blesses sodomy survives long. It is the law of nature, and our God is the God of nature, so it is God's law as well. Ancient Greece collapsed, as did ancient Rome, and so will the United States of America as well as the European Union. In many ways, I suspect America's collapse will be much more gentle than Europe's collapse, for this reason and this reason only. The United States of America still has a sizable remnant of good, decent Christian people, who still subscribe to traditional morality in spite of what our state and federal governments are doing. There are still some state governments that cater to this population in the South and Southern Midwest states. In Europe, that remnant is so much smaller. It is almost non-existent. What few governments left, that have tried to cater to this population, are falling fast to the increasing pressure of the European Union. When America falls, it has a recourse to a new beginning. When Europe falls, it has recourse to nothing. Only a war of conquest by a new European emperor could save that continent after it's implosion, but that's another story for another time.
There are those who say America's collapse will precede Europe's collapse, and that may be true in spite of what we are currently seeing in the news with the civil unrest in Greece and looming problems for Ireland, Portugal and Spain. While the Eurozone is definitely in trouble, it doesn't have the same kind of enormous national debt that faces every American taxpayer. Yes, economically, America is on thinner ice than Europe, so I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens next. An economic collapse for the United States, sooner rather than later, may be a blessing in disguise, as it would force a constitutional convention before much of the Union has time to fall into social anarchy. This could pave the way for immediate decentralization and greater protection of states rights in the short term, thus setting the stage for the rise of Southern dominance sooner rather than later.
What of the North American Union? We must realize that this is a plan that has been in the works for a long time, and there will be a huge push toward continental integration once the economic collapse occurs in the United States. I've given a lot of thought to this issue, and I do believe there is a strategy we can employ against it. The truth must come out that the movers and shakers of the North American Union (NAU) are simultaneously the architects of America's economic collapse. If we can make it known that the people who are proposing the NAU are the exact same people who have been working behind the scenes to destroy America's sovereign economy, than we have some hope. Of course, this will require demonizing former presidents George W. Bush and George H. Bush, as well as Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Anyone associated with NAFTA and the New World Order will have to be made into a traitor and international criminal. If the TEA Party movement, and America's Christian priests and pastors, can accomplish this than we can send the plans for the NAU into the scrap heap of world history, but not until then.
Finally, as a personal strategy for every American family we must pursue a new lifestyle of "cultural succession" from the current entertainment and social culture dominating the United States. What does this mean? Well, first and foremost, we have to remember who we are. We are Christians first, and our real government is the King of hearts -- Jesus Christ. He is America's king, and so long as we remember that, we can keep our local neighborhoods and towns from falling into chaos. Second, we are Americans, and believe it or not, the Constitution of the United States IS NOT our founding document. Our founding document is the Declaration of Independence, and that is why I've quoted it at the top of this article. Two-hundred and thirty-five years ago (this year) our Founding Fathers politically seceded from the British Empire. However, we should remember that a culture secession had already taken place some time before. American colonists had gotten used to a life relatively free of imperial politics, so when the French-Indian War happened in 1754 to 1763, this conflict infuriated the colonists who had been living in relative peace with their Indian neighbors up to that time. As stated in the Declaration of Independence, this imperial interference into colonial life was a major catalyst leading to the secession of the colonies in 1776. Some comparisons could be drawn between this and the Arab-American wars between 1990 to present. Again, imperial politics are at play here. This time instead of King George III, it's the military-industrial complex as embodied in the office of the President of the United States in recent decades. This is coupled with the entertainment industry which is designed to keep us passive and docile while the military-industrial complex robs us blind and puts us into eternal debt. So our only defense is to turn to our churches and employ the gospel in our families, living lives of independence from the popular media and cultural trends.
Is there any hope for America? Yes, there is, believe it or not. But if you were hoping for a strong America that remains an economic and military superpower and world politics, you were hoping for the wrong thing. That's not the kind of America that awaits our future. The America that awaits us will be smaller, leaner and more free, but to get there we must first suffer the collapse of this current America, and that isn't going to be pretty. When the collapse comes, we must be prepared to culturally resist the forces that will drive us toward greater continental integration with Mexico and Canada, and then we must push for a new constitutional convention giving way to the Old Southern traditions of small government and states rights.
There is more strategy to come, of a spiritual nature, but it applies mainly to Catholic Americans. That article will be released on July 4th of this year -- just six days from now. Please be watching for it. In the mean time, please forward and share this article with as many people as you can, particularly conservative Christians, especially if they live in the Northeast and West Coast.

You paint a rosy picture, perhaps one that only we that are fortunate enough to live in a state like ours (Missouri)can see. You're right, the South will rise again. At least the part of it worth saving, the part that just wanted to be left alone. Not the part that drove the war, the slave trading bankers. I for one look forward to it.
I believe that we are being stripped of all the things that distract us from our true purpose. We are returning, eventually, to a life more like the life lived by the average American in the 1880's-90's time period. Family and community will become our central focus again and our time will be spent putting food on the table and producing objects of real value, not playing video games.
Here in rural Missouri and other "backwards" parts of the country we'll make the transition without too much trouble. But I pray for the coasts and all the big cities.
Start changing your life now while there's still time. Relearning all these skills isn't easy and you won't be able to live without them or be able to help anyone else.
I thought I would have an easier time getting a job the closer I got to my graduation with an AAS degree, but no one is responding to my resumes. I live in central Florida and there are few businesses hiring. Would there be any hope for me if I was to relocate to one of the states that you mentioned? What should I do? I'm single without children with parents that are senior citizens. I'm very worried for my future.

Mary, you are young and you don't have any roots planted yet. Broaden your horizons and look for employment outside of your state if you must. You will find work so long as you keep your mind open to new possibilities any different places.
Minorities can sulk away into obscurity but revolutionaries wage their resistance. Catholicism can destroy or co-opt empires: Rome, Soviet Union, El Salvador, and China being next on the list. If we move forward with the proposition that a morally weak nation is a nation susceptible to decay, we must acknowledge that our position is not overcome, nay it is strengthened. The wrecking ball of timeless objective truth will always overcome a weak aggregate of cobble stone and brick.
This may be shocking to some but we must ensure the decline of the size and strength of the U.S. government in order to ensure the survival of thise country and of orthodox Catholicism within this country. If by legalizing so-called gay marriage their movement hopes to weaken the hand of government to rule justly over society by extending greater “liberty,” then we need to ensure that we impose a dialectic on their ideology by encouraging people to undermine the secular state even further.
We should encourage libertarians to diminish the state, the anarchists to destroy the state, and the leftists to attempt to replace the state. We destroy the machine they are attempting to turn against us in the name of faux liberty they espouse. We must undermine the strength of government using the gay movement’s own rhetoric regarding liberty before the government is hijacked and turned against the Catholic Church. Our society is going into the toilet and we need to make sure to make the final flush. As the state weakens, Catholicism can step to the forefront and be the strongest and largest Non Governmental Organization in the U.S., even more powerful than the state itself.
That said, we need to reevaluate whether pouring millions or billions of dollars in resources into a system of government and laws that will eventually turn against us. My point is that during asymmetrical confrontation of one social actor against a more powerful hegemony, the more powerful or more advantaged actor uses the legal institutions to their advantage and the institution generally favors the more powerful force. During the civil rights movement, the courts clearly were in favor of the minority blacks in the south. Here, this is not the case. We need radical action. We need to overpower people with the violence of love by ceasing to denounce so-called gay marriage and affirm traditional sacramental marriage. I am a papist first and an American second. I pledge allegiance to the Kingdom of Christ.

You can count Canada particularly Ontario to burn with the rest of the 1/2 of America going down. Dalton McGuinty has already forced the Toronto district schoolboard to adopt a pro-gay equity policy that can allow anything from gay pride parade promotion to homosexual speakers, and the stupid TCDSB trustees allowed it to happen. There are supposed to be amendments to protect the rights of Catholics but only 3-4 of them have been passed and a subsection of one of them plus the other 4 are being held off till august/september at a likely not-publicly known meeting to defeat them without the parents knowing. That and our bishops are mostly moral cowards with exception to retired Bishop Pearce Lacey, +Terrence Prendergast in Ottawa, and in most cases (except the TCDSB equity policy issue) +Thomas Collins.
We can only pray that for the short while in October or November, Hudak and the PCs can get a majority in Ontario to at least cancel the equity policy and rectify a bunch of the liberal party's mistakes over the last 8 years, but Andrea Horwrath and her NDPs might just give people the opposition vote because our teachers and other unionized workers in Ontario are selfish and hate the PC party premier in the 90's Mike Harris. Basically, unless a number of things happen in the Church and government in Canada, our Monarchy won't save us, we won't be in the ringside seats but will be dragged into this, and Canada will also go to "Hell in a handbasket" too with your Northern US friends.

An interesting read. Just a few thoughts:
-I live on Long Island, New York and I wish to God that I could move. I work for a Catholic Church as a secretary and it’s very depressing what I hear. I’m surrounded by catholic liberals who all voted for Obama, despite his record on abortion and “gay rights”, and will vote for him again! All of my family is in New York so I can’t move. I’ll have to trust in Our Lord’s providence.
-People don’t seem to understand the parallel between immorality and economic implosion and how abortion and contraception has played into this. We also must end the welfare state and the culture of entitlement. The coming economic collapse with take care of this, but God help us when this happens.
-I do not share your optimism regarding the Mexican invasion of our country. Yes, I believe that this will eventually be a Catholic Country, but will it still be OUR country? Try living in Mexico as a illegal on the back of the Mexican taxpayer and let’s see how far you get. Yes, there are some people in genuine need, but let’s not be naïve. The Mexican government has an ulterior motive here and so far, has been allowed to get away with it. We must preserve OUR land, OUR people, OUR culture, OUR heritage. If there is a Constitutional Convention one of the first things they must do is declare English our National Language.

I hope you’re right though I get the feeling some countries would like to pick us off like vultures. The one that really frightens me is Communist China. It’s no secret that the Chinese have their eyes on North America and their population is booming on the west coast from San Francisco up to Vancouver, BC. And the Chinese are now pulling the anchor baby scam just like the illegal Mexicans. Like you said, after the collapse, we absolutely must stay united and our military brought home to defend US!

But when you say SMALLER, I guess you mean we will probably lose some of our land – probably a portion of the southwest, if not all of it. It’s practically been handed back to Mexico. Compliments of the last four Presidents who should be vilified for what they have done to this country. Their betrayal of this country’s people is astounding. Especially George Bush. After 9/11 he had every reason to secure the southwest border and didn’t. What does this say about him, and what does this say about 9/11?
Americans need to understand how their culture has been hijacked. Television and public schools have promoted the new religion of political correctness whose doctrines entail: feminizing men and masculinizing women, gay lifestyle acceptance and promotion, casual sex, abolition of love and romance, and materialism.
Traditional Americans should avoid both popular television (some History channel or Discovery etc may be ok) and avoid putting their kids in public schools at all costs.
But wait a minute....America already tried a more state-power approach with the Articles of Confederation and that didn't work. How would your proposal be any different?
I agree with your analysis of the situation and things aren't all that different here in Australia as the agressive secular forces chip away at the old orthodoxies. We are about to have our complacency upset here as recently elected greens gain the balance of power in our federal senate.
I have a different perspective. You write as tho' all this will happen in a vacum; that we will rebuild society unharrassed; but there is an old foe reinvigorated by our moral decline that sensing our decline and lack of will is once again on the march to redress the shame of its defeat at Lepanto 500 years ago. I wonder will we have th luxury of time to sort out our problems and rebuild society while coping with an old enemy that loves death and its reward of seven virgins.
Barry, the USA, Canada and Australia have a little breathing room to rebuild before the coming great Islamic uprising, but Europe does not. Europe will soon be completely and totally inundated with a Muslim-Marxist alliance that will put the whole continent into flames. There is nothing we can do to save Europe now, except let the inevitable happen, and then retake the continent through a bloody military conquest. Make no mistake about it. Europe's salvation will not come except by the sword. This is the corner they've backed themselves into.
Anonymous, when the Founding Fathers went into constitutional convention, it was originally to modify and strengthen the Articles of Confederation. They instead scrapped that idea in favor of drafting a Constitution. The Anti-Federalists opposed this action and cited their concerns in the Anti-Federalist Papers. Most of their concerns have come to reality like a bad prophecy. I'm certainly not saying we should go back to the Articles, but what we have found over the last 200 years is that the 10th Amendment guaranteeing states rights is pretty much useless in actual practice. The system of power designed in the Constitution is far too centralized and needs to be revised. I suppose the next Constitutional Convention will likely look for a solution in between the current Constitution and the Articles of Confederation.
The unpopular response is that God will Providentially (continue to) lead a massive wave of Mexicans to take over (Deut 9:4-6), which is already showing signs of being more true than your scenario (though there is truth there too). This will naturally shift the balance in favor of Catholicism and families.
In California and many other states, Mexicans are already having more children and the fastest growing minority, quickly surpassing Blacks. In many places they've already taken over the minimum wage jobs, leaving everyone else forced to take a job requiring higher education, but even then much of those jobs are being exported.
I live in NYC. I can't help but be depressed. I see the lack of faith in so many. I see the decadence everywhere.

This Sunday at mass the priest mentioned modern day martyrs and how we have to be willing to die for our faith. I can't remember when I ever heard a priest talking about modern day martyrs. The priest looked tired and sad.
Not to sound like a crazy X-files flake, but I can feel something ominous starting to coalesce. I feel like I am somehow being called to battle and I am not a leader, a politician, or anyone of authority. Just a single lady in NYC. Does this seem crazy? Does anyone else feel something like this or am I completely nuts??
Mr Knigth, in the battle against the recently passed NY law allowing same sex "marriage" the lone DEMOCRAT opponent was a Sen Diaz, who is also an evangelical pastor. All of the catholic democrats voted FOR legal sodomy. Sen Diaz stated "our obligations are primarily to Christ and his law, not to either democrat or repbulican parties, or even to the government" When was the last time you heard such a comment from any of our catholic politicians, including even Toomey or Santorum?? Christie merely said he wouldnt favor a gay marriage law. So much for your theory, Mr Knight, that the influx of hispanics into the US will result in a catholic america. So what are you saying – that Mexico will be “rewarded” with taking our land despite HER great crimes? The Mexican drug cartel that is driving many people north is run by the Mexican Government and cells within the Mexican Military. And despite some genuine circumstances, most of these “immigrants” know that what they’re doing is wrong. They know they’re breaking our laws, they know they are stealing from our country’s treasury, they know they are pulling down our workers salaries and taking the bread out of the mouths of our children and they know they are taking part in a nefarious movement to “steal” our country from us. What about the drugs, rapes, murders, vicious gangs? And you think God will reward this? It is Mexico’s shame that they do not provide a decent living for their people despite being a wealthy country. If anything, and despite our resentment, the American taxpayer should be commended for feeding, housing, clothing, educating and employing these people. This is what Christians do! What is really happening is part of a war that the Liberal Left having been waging against Patriotic Christian Conservatives for many years. They know they would never have the numbers, the demographics to impose their Socialist New World Order, so they had to “import” them, and use our Christian charity against us. The Christian Conservative loves his country, opposes abortion, opposes the gay agenda. They believe in hard work, fair play and the rule of law. They love and trust Our Lord and know that he is the foundation of our freedom and the not the government – everything THEY despise. Look at how they treated Sarah Palin. Is the Christian remnant to lose their country despite their great sufferings and faithfulness to Our Lord? Ultimately, the third world peoples are being used as a weapon against the Christian Conservatives of North America, Europe and Australia to dilute, neutralize and oppress the founding people so they can not mount a strong resistance against the nightmare they want to impose. Our Lady of America - pray for us and save this country!
Didn't Jesus warn us about what was to come? He was hated long before we will be. I guess that vision I had will be coming true.
I saw a looong line of people standing on risers with a beautiful blue light shining over them. They we being blessed with oil by what I believe were angels. When I had awaken, the first words out of my mouth, "they're going to be martyrs!"
I had that vision/dream back in the Spring of 2010. My priest told me to hold onto that vision as he called it.

Have you ever heard of the vision that was given to George Washington about the destiny of the USA? That is, the three great perils that would endanger the Republic. The first was the War for Independence, the second was the Civil War, but the third will be the most intense and frightening because we’ll be fighting for our very existence as a nation. In the vision we are invaded by various nations and just when it seems we’re about to be conquered, divine assistance arrives. And the “woman” who appeared to him - could this have been Our Lady? In fact, there are some historians who believe that Washington on his death bed became a Catholic. Did this alleged vision have something to do with it? Just something to think about.

It might sound kind of odd to say this, but I'm kind of glad Europe will have to survive a bloody struggle if it wishes to survive at all. Let the hypocrites reap what they sow.
And I'm not just talking about the likes of politicians. Ordinary people too. I don't take joy in the idea of people suffering, but it's a tough lesson that the people of Europe need. Time to face the consequences for Europe's stupidity and ignorance.

But it is recorded history that Washington worshiped and even donated to Old St. Mary's Catholic Church in Philadelphia (See parish website). Therefore, he was at least on friendly terms with Catholicism unlike other Founder Fathers who were more Calvinistic and bigoted.
I don't know if there is any truth to the conversion legand, but it is possible that Washington could have looked at the whole thing pragmatically. Remember, the colonies had just rebelled from the crown and effectively from the king's church as well. The early United States was heavily allied with Catholic France and a huge French territory lay just to the west of America. Washington's acts of worship in a Catholic Church would have been viewed as a double slap in the face of King George. It would have been seen as rejection of the crown's reign over religion (Washington was an Anglican) and getting even more cozy with England's mortal enemy - France. Showing such an act of good will toward the Vatican and every Catholic country, including France and Spain, would have been interpreted positively by America's neighbors to the West and South.
