U.S. Senate Paves Way for American Dictatorship

ORIGINALLY POSTED ON 12/5/2011
(Salem News) - In a stunning move that has civil libertarians stuttering with disbelief, the U.S. Senate has just passed a bill that effectively ends the Bill of Rights in America.

This bill, passed late last night in a 93-7 vote, declares the entire USA to be a "battleground" upon which U.S. military forces can operate with impunity, overriding Posse Comitatus and granting the military the unchecked power to arrest, detain, interrogate and even assassinate U.S. citizens with impunity.

It's being called the most traitorous act ever witnessed in the Senate, and the language of the bill is cleverly designed to make you think it doesn't apply to Americans, but toward the end of the bill it essentially says it can apply to Americans "if we want it to....

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: The United States Senate, by an overwhelming margin of 93 to 7, has passed a defence bill that opens the door to military occupation of U.S. states, the suspension of Habeas Corpus, the nullification of Posse Comitatus, and creates a path for the complete suspension of the Bill of Rights. President Obama has promised to veto it. I predict he will break that promise. Let's just hope I'm wrong about that.

This has revealed to us something about the character of the U.S. Senate. A full 97% of United States Senators are traitors! They have betrayed the U.S. Constitution, and made war on the people of the United States. Every single U.S. Senator in office right now (minus the faithful 7) must be noted, and slated for political defeat whenever they come up for re-election, whether that be in 2012, 2014 or 2016. THAT'S IT! POLITICAL PARTY NO LONGER MATTERS. POLITICAL POSITIONS NO LONGER MATTER. THIS IS AN ACT OF WAR ON THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES AND IT MUST BE MET WITH IMMEDIATE POLITICAL RETALIATION. EVERY SINGLE U.S. SENATOR (minus the faithful 7 who voted against it, see list below) IS A TRAITOR AND A THREAT TO THE SAFETY AND FREEDOM OF OUR CHILDREN. THEY MUST BE STOPPED. THEY MUST PAY FOR THIS CRIME AGAINST THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. I AM URGING MY READERS TO SPREAD THE WORD THAT 2012, 2014 AND 2016 BE A 'CLEAN THE SENATE' CAMPAIGN. BE SURE THAT NOT A SINGLE SENATOR IN OFFICE TODAY POLITICALLY SURVIVES THE NEXT ELECTION CYCLE. THIS IS A SCORCHED EARTH RESPONSE. THEY MUST ALL GO DOWN IN POLITICAL DEFEAT. Failure to do this will result in a total dictatorship in the United States, if not today than someday, and it won't matter what your political party or ideology is.  We the people must make examples of them.  If we fail to punish them for this, and punish them harshly, they will think they got away with it, and they will do more in the future.

Eventually, should the bill be signed into law, and it ever by implemented, they will be able to take you in the middle of the night, imprison you, and hold you indefinitely without even filing a single charge against you.  The day will come when people who speak out against the government will just start to disappear and nobody will know what became of them.

Now to understand what is going on, we have to look at the big picture.  This was all done under the guise of 'protecting the American people from terrorism,' but the real agenda is to protect the political and business elites from Americans.  They know their time is up.  The crash came in 2008-2009, and everything they've been doing since then is to artificially prop up the economy and postpone the inevitable.  This is to buy time.  Why?  To save themselves!  They are now restructuring our laws in such a way that they can turn the U.S. military against U.S. citizens so as to protect themselves from the inevitable chaos that will soon result when they can no longer artificially prop up the economy.  When (not if) the crash comes, it will bring every American city into ruin.  There will be riots, demonstrations, chaos and civil unrest.  However, that's not what they're afraid of.  What they are afraid of is the outrage that will be turned toward Washington DC and Wall Street when all that happens.  They are terrified of what will happen when we the people finally figure out what they did to us.  They are preparing to use our own military to defend themselves from us!  That's the story behind the story here.  IF OBAMA SIGNS THIS BILL HE SHOULD LOSE THE ELECTION TO ANYONE WHO RUNS AGAINST HIM.  It won't matter who the GOP candidate is, because if you love freedom than he should win.  I don't say this because I believe a GOP candidate is any defender of freedom.  I do not believe that at all.  Rather, I say this so that this new president will get a clear message from the voters that if you don't want to end up like the last guy, you better work toward getting rid of that law he signed.  (That is if he signs it.)  REGARDLESS IF OBAMA SIGNS THE BILL OR NOT, EVERY SINGLE U.S. SENATOR (minus the faithful 7) MUST GO!!!  This is no longer about politics.  This is about survival as a people.  The time to start organizing is now.  Figure out who your U.S. Senator is, and support his/her most viable opponent, regardless of who he/she is, because at this juncture, it really doesn't matter any more.  We have just crossed over into the threshold of political survivalism.  We may not be able to save the Republic, but we sure can send a loud and clear message to the U.S. Senate.  THIS KIND OF LEGISLATION IS UNTHINKABLE AND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!!!

The following is a list of the faithful seven, those who voted against the Defence Bill in favour of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  These seven Senators are the only seven that deserve to retain their seats in the Senate.  All others must go!  If your Senator's name is not on the list, it's time to support his/her opposition, no matter who that is....

Tom Coburn (R-OK)
Tom Harkin (D-IA)
Mike Lee (R-UT)
Jeff Merkley (D-OR)
Rand Paul (R-KY)
Bernie Sanders (I-VT)
Ron Wyden (D-OR)

These are the ONLY Senators who deserve to stay in office.  Everyone else must GO !!!!

UPDATE 12/15/2011
As I predicted on this blog ten days ago, President Barack H. Obama has broken his promise to veto this bill and decided instead to sign the legislation.  America is now firmly on its way toward dictatorship, and Barack Obama will forever go down in history as a main contributor toward that end. Obviously, this means Obama must be removed from office as well. So we should support his opponent in 2012, no matter who that is.

Obama sign the bill? YOU BET HE WILL!! This'll be the greatest Christmas present our little emperor has ever gotten. But it's not just him. Damned near any of the current front runners would do the same thing, except Paul. This isn't right/left or Dem/Repub - it's them against us.

And coming along at precisely the same time as Europe teeters and America prepares to follow. HOW FREAKIN' CONVENIENT!

What is the name of the bill that the Senate just passed? My National Government professor would like to read this bill and pass the word on to others.

This isn't April Fools Day, is it...

2% of OpenCongress.org users support it.

Here is the roll call.

Here were its sole 7 opponents:
Sen. Thomas Coburn [R, OK]
Sen. Mike Lee [R, UT]
Sen. Rand Paul [R, KY]
Sen. Thomas Harkin [D, IA]
Sen. Jeff Merkley [D, OR]
Sen. Ron Wyden [D, OR]

Rose, the bill is S1867.

The Catholic Knight said...

The bill was S.1867

I find that ironic because that happens to be the year the United States federal government removed all civilian governments from the Southern states and replaced them with military occupation troops.

Alan Aversa said...

The most important part of the bill's text is here, the key phrase being: “A person who was a part of or substantially supported […] associated forces that are engaged in hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners.”

The Catholic Knight said...

What are "hostilities" defined as? How about protesting against a war? Some would say that is giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Is that "substantially supporting?" This is a very slippery slope we are on.

A new perspective: Most US soldiers are from the Christian South and Mid-West; you all must tell your sons that its their Christian duty not to attack US citizens and to resign their military commissions rather than impose fascism.

The dictatorship must rely on US troops having blind loyalty to the regime and use the Nazi excuse of "just doing our jobs." We must tell our families in the military to NOT obey their orders. Without the military, only the Blackwater mercenaries would be left to prop up the dictatorship.

Like I asked on another blog; does the Vatican offer political asylum?

Anonymous said...

What makes anyone think the 93 senatraitors' opponents will be any better?

The Catholic Knight said...

There is no way to know that, but it doesn't matter. The worst possible thing has already happened. Now it's just about punishing those who did the nasty deed, and making examples out of them for the next batch of 93 senators.

The Catholic Knight said...

Make no mistake about it. This is pure political retaliation. Nothing more and nothing less. It's about teaching them a lesson and scaring the pee out of their replacements.

Sec. 1031 (b)(2) of the bill seems to be the culprit. It states:

(b) ...A Covered Person under this section is any person as follows:
....
(2) a person who was a part of or substantially supported al-Qaeda, the Taliban, or associated forces that are engaged in hostilities against the [US] or its coalition partners, including any person who has committed a beligerent act or has directly supported such hostilities in aid of such enemy forces.

Now that sounds pretty ominous. But, a little further down, section (e) states: ...Nothing in this section shall be construed to affect existing law or authorities, relating to the detention of United States citizens, lawful resident aliens of the [US] or any other persons who are captured or arrested in the [US].

So it sounds as if covered persons who are US citizens are still entitled to the benefits of Constitutional protections. Assuming, of course, they decide to give them to you. Still don't really like it (lots of vagueness in there), but it is not exactly the revocation of the Bill of Rights. At least not yet.

Anonymous said...

Same Anon as above.

I notice some blogs are pointing to 1032 regarding the requirement to retain, and state that the language which says the requirement to detain does not apply to US citizens only means it is now discretionary. But that makes no sense. 1032 only applies to "required" detention, and specifically states that required detention does not apply to US citizens. That means they would have to detain under 1031 (discretionary retention), and 1031 says it does not affect US citizens' rights, such as they are.

Don't get me wrong - if they want to get you, they will. It's not like they would let a little 200+ year old scrap of paper get in their way. But this bill, reasonably interpreted (I know, big assumption) does not give them that authority.

You should bump this article Sir Knight. I only clicked on the link at the top by chance. I don't live in America so I don't want to say too much yet.

Wow Sir Knight,

I am in sorrow for you and the rest of the good traditional Catholics left in the USA (who haven't fallen to one of other Christian denominations or poisonous ideaiologies in secular and even the Post Vatican II institutional church). Seriously I now fear for you personally and I highly recommend you take your own advice and high tail your family at least to one of those Southern Dixie states you talk about, or more, emigrate to a traditional EF Latin Mass parish/community, or emigrate to a country like mine here in Canada. I don't think your country has a shot in heaven to change its direction unless every state, and I mean EVERY state votes independent or Tea Party. That'll never happen with people's attachment to selfishness and greed. Between the failings of the education system in both our countries, and the "Jesus loves everyone" and "there's no gradation of Sin" garbage spouted by our priests, (unionized driven) Catholic teachers, etc. the public has now grown up through 2 generations thinking "Me ME ME" and that everyone can still be Catholic. THE EDUCATORS ARE LIARS!!!! and now my generation is mainly zombies of relativism and selfishness and don't know what real Catholicism is all about.

However, even I feel that we're all getting what we deserve collectively for our sins. Whenever people in power screw with God, He screws back even harder. How many times in the Bible did people and leaders disobey God and do things and they got it real bad, even "murdered" by our lord via fire or plagues or etc. The Old Testament has many examples. With Canada, while we may still have a very thin shoestring tie to the Monarchy in England via the Speaker of the House of Parliament federally (The Queen's representative), Canada is just the same as the USA with its prime minister and democracy, only we are part of the domino effect. What the USA does, we follow suit. Worse, federally right now our main opposition is not the equivalent of the democrats in the USA (the Liberals,)it is the NDP, a purely socialist driven party of garbage that a lot of my younger generation 20's-30's loves in ideaology and thinking.

Honestly, I think we are coming up to a minor or the Great Chastizement and there's gonna be a whole lotta Catholic blood spilt, be it in the streets or in prisons under "legal" pretenses invoving a lot of potassium chloride filled needles. All it will take up here is the wrong elected official, even a Progressive Conservative party official, and before you know it we'll have our own CC 1867 that will re-establish the death penalty and allow persecution in Canada under some sort of "terrorist" act or "not in the best interests of the country" provision. In fact I would expect it from either party, but especially the Conservatives, as the PCs can sugar coat it with their traditional stance of being tough on crime and punishment.

The United Nations just passed an international gay rights resolution spearheaded by the United States and Britian but approved by all main countries except Russia, that will soon result in more TV and movie attacks on heterosexuality, family, and manhood. I suppose it makes sense to castrate American men first so they have no courage to fight their coming dictatorship.

The American Experiment, if one wishes to call it that, was an experiment doomed from its inception and I'm afraid too many Americans refuse to face that fact. Given the historical origins of this country, this day was inevitable.

To blame most of this on the execrable Obama is not historical. He is just the latest in a very long line of knaves, stooges and crooks who have occupied the exalted places of power here and his actions are about on a par with his equally execrable predecessor.

Vote for anybody against Obama? Well, go ahead if you wish to but that will change very little. All of the Republican candidates are SERIOUSLY flawed in some aspects (and that includes Dr Paul). Most of them are bloodthirsty warmongers and lackeys of Israel. Paul is not quite that but he is, being a libertarian, quite misguided on certain social issues. Granted he is better than the rest of his silly opponents but I doubt whether a Paul presidency can stop the trainwreck.

America was founded on Enlightenment/Masonic principles and because of that it was only a question of time before it changed to a tyranny which it now, make no mistake, very clearly is. The solution to America's problems are not going to come by appealing to the Constitution, because that document had the seeds of its own destruction sown within it. The moment the idea that "all power comes from the people" is accepted it is a very short road from there to totalitarianism. We are ruled by an oligarchy, and have been for generations. Financial elites have ALWAYS driven US policy, from the 18th century till now. Added to that is the revolutionary Jewish influence and the disaster that is awaiting us can be seen clearly.

In fact this "Americanism" is a big part of the very disease that is eating away at the vitals of the Catholic Church, since the Church has for the past 150 years or so been cozying up to the USA in the form of accepting its pluralistic ideas. Leo XIII tried to put a stop to it with his condemnation of the heresy of Americanism but his efforts failed. There were too many prelates in the US like Gibbons, England, Spellman and others who spent more time urging US Catholics to be good Americans rather than good Catholics first. And because of that fatal attitude we have divorce, contraception, sodomy and abortion. The Church hasn't been converting America; America has been converting the Church.

I don't know how all this is going to play out but I suggest we had all better start taking the Rosary seriously, pretty damned quick. The monsters who rule us, who now act like the swine of the KGB or the Mossad, are starting to show the claws in their fists. This is a punishment, no doubt, for a country that murders innocents in the womb and abroad, that allows itself to be ruled by queers, that spews untreated sewage from Hollywood to the rest of the world, that refuses to have children, that wallows in consumerism, that bombs Dresden, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, that steals by taxation and financial chicanery the lifeblood of families, that exalts every form of human depravity imaginable. Yes, this is a punishment, and we have it coming.

But we must pray and punch, too. Amd we'd better get started on that real soon.

Commenter *19,

The latest UN resolution on homosexual rights' has made headlines over the past 48 hours here; refer to the news service of www.abc.net.au for more information.

the rhetoric employed casts this 'mission' and it is exactly that (its advocates are employing missionary zeal to say the very least) in the same light as the various abolitionist causes of the 19th century, the cause for the rights of children (anti child labour etc) in the latter 19th century and early 20th century) plus womens' movement of the 20th century elevating it to the same heights as the aforementioned issues.

the language is plain. Any who resist are

anti democratic
boggotted
prejudiced
dangerous
a threat to individual human rights
a threat to social justice
and the list goes on...

orthodox Jewish, Muslim and conservative protestantism take the same view on this matter to that held by Catholic Christian teaching; though you can bet your bottom dollar not one single orthodox jew or Muslim will be targeted. this is aimed at Christianity, pure and simple, with Catholic Christianity its primary concern.

I thank god in my Marounite congregation this morning, the priest called each and every one of us to be a part of the Church Millitant (his words not mine) in light of Christ, and the teachings of the word of God and Holy Mother Church. We need to band together and support our Catholic clergy, fellow laypeople, plus our separated brethren of conservative/traditional persuation. Only in such a fashion can we stand up to the thuggery of the UN - finally showing its true face.

The pieces of the puzzle are falling into place; one can more clearly than ever envisage the dire happenings surrounding the Pope and ominous warnings as to the fate of even the Vatican as expressed over nearly two millenia of Church aproved private Christian revelation - not to mention warnings set forth in Holy Scripture.

I fear the vast majority of (western rite) clergy will simply roll over or go along to get along. May God preserve us - after all we are promised that hell shall not prevail over God's Church (though we have a fair bit of suffering to get through before Mary's imaculate heart and the most sacred heart of Jesus Christ triumph.

Blessings,

Sarah,
Australia.

Sir Knight and readers,

One last comment (for now) on this whole sorry mess...read Psalms 12 and 14; very telling. how descriptive they ar of our times, the challenges we are up against, the way of the enemy, yet redolent with the hope that lies within god's sovereignty - their house of cards will topple and its fall will be ruinous, as was that of the man who built his house upon sand. Let us be mindful of our faith - pray the rosary, pray the Chaplet of Devine Mercy, (this one is very quick, easy and excellent for beginner Catholics and life long faithful alike) plus the office. Read the Catechism, study the Word of God, attend Mass as often as you can, attend confession likewise. if you are dissatisfied with your local parish, there is nothing wrong with attending another Catholic rite if available; one does not need to be of like ethnic herritage or have a stake in said ethnic herritage to be warmly welcomed and accepted. if you are anglican and blessed to have an Anglican Ordinariate near you, go there.

Sir Knight, I believe an article or two, time permitting of course, on what we have to look forward to (re Church Approved Private revelation - bearing in mind no man knoweth the day or the hour, not even the Son but only the Father), and steps we can take to look after ourselves, our families, our fellow parishioners and isolated souls who may need very real support e.g. those with disability, the infirm, the elderly, those without family etc. might be of great benefit and encouragement.

blessings,

Sarah,
Australia.

This phenonmenon can also be called anarcho-tyranny. Since the most immoral and clearly erroneous aspects are allowed by secular liberals (e.g. no separation, rejection nor discrimination for illegal immigrants and Muslims, support for sexual liberation and degeneracy, indifferent to hatred of Western civilization, rabid opposition to Christianity, etc) we end up with a state that wants to prove that it doesn't let dangers in by focusing on little things (e.g. food bans, etc) and actually "targeting" the populace. Let's be honest genuine religious conservatives are much honest and less hypocritical contrary to secular liberal claims. Liberals want to create a totalitarian liberal state whilst cloaking themselves in freedom, human rights, equality, diversity, democract, autonomy and humanitarianism.

I smell shades of Hitler here...this is almost like how Hitler obtained his nearly absolute power.
And from Philippine history, we have the dictator Ferdinand Marcos (1965-1986), who could make people disappear during the dark days of martial law (September 21, 1972 to January 17, 1981). Interestingly, Marcos lifted martial law (even if he still retained much of his power) shortly before Blessed John Paul II visited the Philippines in February of the same year. He explicitly made the lifting of martial law a precondition for his visit.
Perhaps another Successor of Peter could do the same with America, should it go down the same road. What say you, Sir Knight? Has the Holy Father any influence left?

The Catholic Knight said...

I say America will not last the decade. Shortly after martial law is declared, the federal government will implode under its own weight, and the Union will rip itself apart based on cultural lines. It will be every region for itself, as Americans try to cobble something together in their own regions that resembles something close to what they once had. Meanwhile, the world will be destabilised as a result, and small conflicts will erupt everywhere around the globe. This will go on for some time before the a new world paradigm is reached. Then things will settle down.

The pope is going to have his hands full with chaos erupting in Europe. He's not going to have time to visit the former United States.

Anonymous said...

If, God forbid, that should ever happen, Americans could learn from the Filipinos. They got knocked down so much in their history, but then they kept getting up again. Marcos was ousted by popular revolt on February 25, 1986, in a revolt called for partly by the Primate of the Philippines and Archbishop of Manila, Jaime Cardinal Sin (R.I.P).
Any coincidence that the Philippines is the largest Catholic-majority country in Asia? With God, nothing is impossible. I only hope that if it happens, it will not be the end yet.

Sincerely, Filipino Catholic.
