(LRC) - Christians are being systematically targeted for genocide in Syria according to Vatican and other sources with contacts on the ground among the besieged Christian community. According to reports by the Vatican's Fides News Agency collected by the Centre for the Study of Interventionism, the US-backed Free Syrian Army rebels and ever more radical spin-off factions are sacking Christian churches, shooting Christians dead in the street, broadcasting ultimatums that all Christians must be cleansed from the rebel-held villages, and even shooting priests....THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: That's right, you read the headline and story correctly. The United States federal government, seated in Washington D.C., is backing Syrian rebels who are systematically executing (murdering) Christians in the streets, in their homes, and in their churches. They are killing priests and nuns, women and children, and all funded with American tax dollars. That's right America, the money we paid Uncle Sam last April is blood money. A portion of it is being used to help radical Muslims kill Christians. How does that make you feel?

What have we heard from the mainstream news media in the United States on this issue? Silence! Nothing! Their lips are sealed!!! Allow the Knight to bring you up to speed if you haven't been reading lately. The United States federal government is working with the Muslim Brotherhood. Why? Well, here it is in a nutshell. Large international corporations (particularly energy firms) want to get their hands on Middle Eastern oil. Now to make a long story short, Muslim nations that work with these corporations are lavishly rewarded with more money than they know what to do with. Think Saudi Arabia for example, or Kuwait, or the U.A.E. Nations that refuse to cooperate go on these corporation's black list, and once they are on the corporate black list, it isn't long before they end up on Uncle Sam's black list. Think Iraq for example, Libya, Syria and Iran. Now here is how Uncle Sam works. First, he sends in the C.I.A. to covertly train and arm rebels to attempt "regime change" through a coup or civil war. Second, should that fail to work, he turns to N.A.T.O. or the U.N. to do the dirty work for him via a bombing campaign. Third, if that doesn't work, or if either of these two organisations fails to cooperate with Uncle Sam, he just "goes it alone" with a "coalition of the willing" and launches an American led bombing campaign or all out invasion. If you look at U.S. Middle Eastern foreign policy over the last 20 years, this is pretty much how it always plays out. It's a three step approach; one, two and three. Hopefully, step one gets the job done. If not, it's on to step two, and if that doesn't work, well, you know what happens next.
The terrorist attack on 9-11-2001 was a turning point in America's Middle Eastern foreign policy. After the radical jihadist attack on American soil that claimed thousands of lives, the G.W. Bush administration continued the same Middle Eastern policy started by his father back in 1990, but altered it slightly. As his Defence Secretary Condoleezza Rice put it; for years American Middle Eastern foreign policy was marked by the pursuit of stability over freedom, and what we got was neither. She followed by stating that from 9-11 forward, American Middle Eastern foreign policy is marked by freedom over stability. Allow me to translate. What this means is the United States will actively destabilise the Middle East in the pursuit of "freedom," but by "freedom" she doesn't mean freedom in the sense that you and I understand freedom. She means "freedom" in the sense of letting the Islamic radicals take over and rule their countries according to whatever their religious zeal calls for. It was under the G.W. Bush administration that the decision was made to ally with the Muslim Brotherhood, the mother of all terrorist organisations in the Middle East. The idea was to "switch sides" so to speak, help the Muslims get what they want, and in exchange they hope to curb Islamic terrorism in America while simultaneously gain favour in oil deals with American-led international corporations. Pressure on Israel to give up occupied land for peace was started in earnest under the G.W. Bush administration, and continues under the current Obama administration.
Let me make this perfectly clear. This problem is not an Obama thing. Nor is it a G.W. Bush thing. Believe me, if Mitt Romney gets elected, he won't do a damn thing to change it either. No, this problem is a Washington D.C. thing!!! It's called "Yankee Imperialism," and it goes back a long long way. Yankee Imperialism is nothing new, and it has a long history of being sponsored by big money in New York and the corporations that span the globe from there. This is why the 9-11 terrorists targeted New York and Washington DC, specifically the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. It was to send a message, and that message was that they no longer care for the way the financial-military complex is running things in the Middle East. That's why the Bush administration pivoted to favour the Muslim extremists, and that's why Uncle Sam is essentially giving Osama Bin Laden much of what he wanted, even after putting a bullet through his head. "Thanks for the course correction, now here's your reward.... BANG!!!" Make no mistake about it, this is exactly the kind of people we have running the American government.
Presidential elections won't change this. Putting Mitt Romney in office won't stop this. He will do it too, and possibly with more fervour than Obama and Bush put together. Who are the sacrificial lambs? Well, Middle Eastern Christians of course! More Christians have been murdered in the Middle East since this new American policy was initiated, than since the crusades. In Iraq, Americans were assured that Christians would be safe under U.S. led democracy. Instead, they were murdered by the thousands, their churches were bombed (while they were inside), and there has since been a mass exodus of Christians from Iraq. In Egypt, the C.I.A. was instrumental in orchestrating the protests and overthrow of that regime. Since, bringing in U.S. led democracy, Egypt became a slaughtering house for Christians. Thankfully, there weren't many Christians in Libya to be affected by the U.S. supported rebels and N.A.T.O. bombing campaign. Now Uncle Sam turns his sights on Syria, arming the rebels, and no doubt using the C.I.A. to train them and coordinate their attacks. What follows in their wake? The Assad regime has not even fallen yet, and Christians are already being slaughtered in Syria. We all know who is next on Uncle Sam's hit list -- Iran. How many Christians will die there now as a result of Yankee Imperialism?
American Evangelicals, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You helped support this, with your prophecy-crazy Zionism. Each year you send millions of U.S. dollars to Israel, for everything from helping Jews settle occupied territory, to rebuilding the Temple Mount. You ignore the plight of your Christian brethren in Palestine, and now you ignore their suffering in Iraq, Egypt, and Syria. You say, "throw Obama out of office and elect Romney!" Caring less about the real probability that Romney will do everything Bush and Obama did in the Middle East, and likely so much more! Shame on any U.S. Catholic who has dared to support the Evangelical Zionist (Israel-first) vision of the Middle East. For in doing so, you turn a blind eye to what Washington DC is doing to your Christian brethren over there.
The Catholic Knight has disowned the United States federal government. I no longer recognise it as legitimate. It is a tyrannical dictatorship that began in 1861 and continues to this day. It occupies my nation (Dixie) and uses our resources and young men to further its imperial designs. Now it persecutes Christians at home, by telling their children they cannot pray in school and their charities they must provide abortions and contraception. All the while it supports the wholesale murder (indeed GENOCIDE) of Christians overseas. There is nothing anyone can say that will get me to support this government ever again. It is an anathema. May God save my Christian brethren in the Middle East from its wicked ambitions.

Sir Knight,
There's nothing more to add to what you have stated! May God Bless you for speaking the Truth and protect you-and all True Catholic Warriors- from the powerful evil that surrounds us!

Sir Knight,
When shall we hail the return of Christendom at the hands of the Great Monarch as we genuflect on the left in humble gratitude for his reign?
Helpless. Does this word aptly describe the state of Christians? How have we become so disabled!? Is there some sneaky plot from ages ago that we missed?

Sir Knight,
Your resident Marounite here again...,
A foreign Policy boffin (think his name is peter Bourke - Stephen, you may be able to help me out here) spoke on 'Sydney Talkabout' (ABC Local Radio) this morning and raised the Christian issue (deflected off to the outer darkness by the supposed educated talking heads who refused to touch it).
1. Marounites, Melchites, Syriac Christians, Druse and the group who follow John The Baptist (I have forgotten their collective name) are suffering. Nobody gives a rat's backside about them (the Armenian Christians in turkey, 1915 all over again - don't the supposed power-masters ever learn??)
2. the US seem to have forgotten that russia is supplying weaponry (including helicopter gunships etc) to the Syrrian govt. forces.
3. al Qaida and friends are already supporting the rebels - when/if Asad falls, the situation will become incomperably worse than it currently is; believe you me. We have syrians at church, many Syrians...this is a sickening tragedy for my brothers and sisters in Syria!!
Look at Egypt's elections also...one of the front men is a prominant Muslim Brotherhood fellow, the other 'old guard' Mubarak man...who do you think the people will vote for? (regardless of the assertion that a third of local election results have been deemed invalid).
St. Charbel, pray for us,
St. Maroun, pray for us,
St. Rafka, Pray for us,
St. anthony of Babylon, Pray for us!!
god help us!!
Western officials, you'd better be ready to give assylum to ALL Syrian Christians in your nations, no questions asked!
Blessings,
Sarah,
Australia.
My God, Sir Knight. Would you ever think that our beloved America would be so diabolically inverted against herself? Many years ago these same devils were also responsible for the communists taking over Russia and China and for the incredible suffering these people have endured. And it's just a matter of time before they turn their guns against us.
You're so fortunate that you have strong cultural ties to Dixie and already have a country to call your own. I live in New York State, and believe me, it's very depressing being here. I have a brother who is thinking a retiring soon and has talked about moving to the Carolinas. Maybe I can arrange to make the move with him. I'll just have to put everything in God's hands.
Siobhan, I think the relocation of Practicing Catholics to the South is a good idea. However, I have just one word of advice. Learn the culture and ASSIMILATE. Remember, Southerners were here first. It is our region and our culture. If you are willing to become one of us, then you are welcome to come and stay forever. If you are looking to import the things you are used to down here, we will kindly ask you to go home. It's just like any other country. If you plan to move to Ireland, you must embrace the culture. Same with Scotland. Same with Dixie.
Sir Knight,
The more you talk about Dixie, the more it resonates in my soul. Why the Lord put me in NY, I have no idea, but I've have always admired the South and its culture and its charming accents! Though the heat would be hard to take! What is ever His will, may it be done.
Heat and humidity are always an issue here. If you have health conditions that will make this extemely hard for you then I recommend the North Carolina and Virginia coast. As far south as Myrtle Beach South Carolina might be okay, but if you get anywhere near Charleston, you better be right ON the coast to benefit from the ocean breeze. Otherwise, consider the upper elevations of the Appalacian or Ozark mountains, but check with your allergist before you do. If you have problems with allergies, you may need to get some shots. It's really not so bad once you get used to things. Like all things, it's just a matter of acclamation. My wife and I had a hard time with the humidity when we first moved back here after living on the dry West Coast. It took us several years to finally get used to it. Our kids have never known anything else, so it doesn't bother them at all.
Sobering food for thought!
Just practice for what will be coming to the U.S. of A. in the future as Catholics cannot be tolerated.
Yes indeed anonymous, our day is coming. I have read that Obama plans to seriously curtail freedom of speech after his re-election in November, but we have no word yet on what specifically is meant by that. We believe it has something to do with political contributions, and who can lawfully engage in campaign ads.
We know this administration has already set its eyes, unsuccessfully, on getting the government involved in clergy selection for churches. Thankfully, the Supreme Court shot that down in a rare unanimous 9-0 decision. That however, should give you an idea of how this administration thinks, and what direction it's trying to go.
In the end, it isn't just Obama that is the problem. People seem to think that getting rid of him will take care of things. THEY ARE WRONG. Mitt Romney might offer a temporary reprieve from this kind of government meddling in the Church, but it will only be temporary. In spite of that, even Mitt will consolidate more power to the federal government, probably along the lines of the way G.W. Bush did. This in turn will just set the stage for the next anti-Catholic or anti-Christian president to come in and do far worse than Obama! The problem isn't the man in the Whitehouse. I've said this from the beginning. the problem is Washington D.C. itself. So long as the states are governed by a centralised empire, there is no hope for them. The only chance we have at freedom is to seek independence. There is no other way. All political methods will fail, or just postpone the inevitable.
The situation we have in Washington DC is identical to (but worse than) the situation the colonists were dealing with the British crown in 1776 AD. We know what their solution was. When will Americans wake up and realise we need to do the same today? I'm not talking about a war. I'm talking about a peaceful democratic independence movement, in which the people of the states vote (repeatedly if needed) to break away from the USA and form new countries. This, and only this, will put Washington D.C. in its place. Outside of this method, NOTHING ELSE WILL WORK.
I have come to suspect that it is the policy of the US Gov't and the International Bankers that fund it, that all of the countries of the Middle East should be under the control of "Islamist" regimes to ensure that they are not allowed to progress socially, spiritually, and materially enough to be a threat to the "Empire". Thanks to our "friends" the Saudi's - the Wahabist version of Jihad is financed and promoted all over the world, and is the current "BogeyMan" of the NWO. Why is it, that after declaring the war on terror over, that the Patriot Act is not repealed and the Dept. of Homeland Security disbanded? I'm not a KoolAid drinking Truther, but I do believe that there are people in our gov't that have no loyalty to us, our our nation.
Syria only produces 0.5% of the global oil supply. I rather doubt that the United States government is involved in some sort of shadowy corporate conspiracy to take that oil, which is being sold to the West anyway. You are right to condemn Islamist militants, but the conspiracy theories are less than credible.
Patrick, Just because Syria only produces less than 0.5% of the world's oil supply doesn't mean it is running at full capacity. If western oil companies were allowed to drill there, I'm sure their production level would go up -- way up. That however is beside the point.
There is no conspiracy in saying that the U.S. is arming and training the very rebels that are slaughtering Christians. The Vatican's Fides News Agency is anything but a conspiracy promoter. Washington D.C. is arming Syrian rebels, and Moscow is now trying to counter this by supplying the Syrian army with attack helicopters. Russia is calling America's bluff, threatening to turn this whole thing into a proxy war between the two superpowers if America continues to help the Syrian rebels -- rebels who slaughter Christians -- Orthodox Christians that is. If American Christians will not stand up in outrage at Washington's dealings, at least we can rely on Russia's Orthodox Christians to put up enough of a stink for the Russian government to intervene.
If however, Russia's involvement has nothing to do with defending Orthodox Christians, (which it probably doesn't anyway), then what pray tell is Russia getting involved for? Could it not be that they recognise Syria's oil potential as well?
Attacking Syria is also about further isolating Iran.
@Patrick I would say that it is not about oil, but control. The "Empire" can't allow a regime to exist that doesn't dance to the tune that the NWO is playing. They can't afford to have these countries band together with the BRIC (Brazil Russia India China)to liberate themselves from pegging the price of oil to the dollar. The replacement of the dollar as the world's dominant currency will mean the end of the Empire, and I fear the NWO will go to war to prevent this from happening.
Yes, Timothy, you nailed it. Sorry, I've apparently done a poor job explaining myself this time around. The U.S. dollar is fixed to the barrel of oil. In effect, when the United States was taken off the gold standard, it was placed on the oil standard. I'm not sure if this happened immediately, or slowly over time, but it did happen. This is what allows us to float an astronomical national debt, and monetise it with virtual impunity, without tanking the value of the dollar. So long as the dollar remains pegged to a barrel of oil, the imperial empire in Washington DC is safe.
It's not always about oil production. Sometimes its about a country's willingness to trade oil in dollars. Small countries that fail to play the game, get put on Washington DC's black list as well. Large countries that refuse to play the game, (like Russia and China) are considered problems, but there really isn't much the U.S. can do to stop them - right now. This is why middle size nations, like Iran, are rushing to create nuclear weapons. They know if they can create a big enough stinger, the USA will be less likely to intervene militarily.
Yes, I also believe you are right about Washington wanting to take out Syria to further isolate Iran. That is the ultimate goal. The USA knows that if it can bully all the Middle Eastern oil producing nations into trading in dollars, it will corner Russia and China as well, leaving them in a compromised state. This is why Russia continues to try to block the USA through various arms deals and recent military aggression (in Georgia) to gain oil pipelines. The Cold War has given way to the Black War (Oil War) or Energy War, whatever you wish to call it.
I've spent a lot of time looking at these countries, noticing that after the west has intervened they are no longer as welcoming, nor are they particularly grateful. I kind of got to the point where I have developed an attitude of "It's there problem. Let them at each other and sort it out".
I feel quite ashamed for not sparing a thought for the christians, and indeed other suffering minorities in these countries. Is there actually anything we can do at all to help these people Sir Knight. Pray obviously, but anything else?
Obviously PRAY. Also, stop supporting the United States intervention in the Middle East in what little way you can. Write your congressman. Finally, you can give to the Pontifical Mission in the Middle East
Sir Knight,
The About Us section seems to focus on Palestine. While I have no interest in taking sides in the Israeli-Palstinian conflict, I'm curious as to how PMJ distribute the money or whatever it is they buy with it. Though I know there are suffering Palestinians, I'm pretty sure not everyone in that group is what we might consider peaceful. Basically, how do we know donations don't fall into the wrong hands. That seems to happen a lot with charities.
Sir Knight, it was most gratifying of you to take the Evangelicals to task for their blind-sided support of Israel/Zionism. The bottom line with them is that they are vitriolically anti-Catholic (as are the Jews). We must demolish the myth that "Israel" is "the only democracy in the Middle East" or "our only true ally" Really? with allies like that, i would hate to have enemies. Pat Buchanan has been saying it all along, that DC and NYC are "Israeli occupied territory" controlled lock, stock and barrel by Zionists whose only interest is in advancing their cause at the expense of America and Catholicism. Most recently the French soccer team was criticized for skipping the expected hommage at Auschwitz Pete Frey
Antaine, if the pontifical mission cannot be trusted, then there is none that can be. Personally, I have no trouble donating to the Pontifical Mission.
To clarify, I did not at all mean to dispute your central point, that it is wrong for the United States to arm anti-Christian Muslims. In fact, most all of our military intervention in the last decade in the middle east has been bad for Christians, especially in Iraq.
"The Catholic Knight has disowned the United States federal government. I no longer recognise it as legitimate."
Welcome home, my brother, welcome home!!
"In Dixieland I'll take my stand,
to live and die in Dixie."
There once was a saying during the "Red Scare", "better dead than Red"..which Teddy Kennedy bastardised by saying "better Red than dead"...probably because he knew what he was going to face once his time came. Regardless, what price is freedom if we're not willing to pay for it? And with what shall our currency be? We can decide for it to be peacful dialogue, which would be preferable, but should also expect it to be our blood and treasure.
Deo Vindice!
This is not the first time, we have funded or provided the means for this sort of atrocity. In the war on Katanga in 1961, we provided the means to bomb charity hospitals, and fly in the mercenaries of death, to suppress the people in the pro-Western province of the former Belgian Congo, seeking their independence from the Marxist Government in the rest of the former Colony.
We also backed the suppression of the Christian Ibo tribe in Nigeria, a little later.
To say that those who run our foreign policy have an agenda that is not necessarily consistent with basic American values, is rather a very sad understatement.
William Flax
The Christians Catholic, Orthodox, Oriental, Protestant are now and always have been pawns of the Islamic regimes just as the Jews of Europe were. They will die when their usefulness runs out for either or both sides.
Sad but true.
The Amerkan imperium continues to grow! Good post!
Sorry hit return too soon- last comment from JS Wilson- a "copperhead" in Indiana.
I have met some of the Iraqi Christians who had to flee for the lack of protection by the deposition and killing of Saddam Hussein due the greed of the Rocafeller senator, Bush administration and Rothschild current banking prctices. Beautiful people the Iraquis! It is much harder to love the others because of their murder and mayhem sanctioned at the UN.
