Religious Liberty Dies In America Today
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: As of today, August 1st, 2012, the United States federal government has turned against every Christian, Muslim and Jew in the United States. It saddens me that the country I once knew, as a beacon of religious freedom in the world, no longer exists.
At midnight this morning, the Obama administration's HHS Mandate went into effect, which abridges Freedom of Conscience for all Christians, Jews and Muslims in the United States.
Religious Liberty in the United States has always existed in two parts. The first part is Freedom of Worship, meaning the right to worship God as you see fit. The second part is Freedom of Conscience, meaning the right to abstain from moral practices that one finds objectionable according to one's religious sensibilities. Today, the second part of Religious Liberty, the Freedom of Conscience, abruptly came to an end in the United States.
Henceforth, religious employers of all types, must provide medical coverage for artificial contraception, surgical sterilisation, and chemical abortion. They must do this against their will, or be forced to pay stiff penalties and face possible jail time.
For the first time in American history, Christians are now forced to choose between obedience to the law or obedience to God. Christians must now choose between Jesus Christ and Barack Obama. Failure to choose Obama will result in criminal penalties.
Enforcement of this law can begin at any time, with or without warning, and it is expected that formal charges against orthodox Christians, Jews and Muslims will likely begin today.
The Catholic Knight invites you to share your eulogy for Religious Liberty in America using the comments section below, and share this post with as many people as you possibly can.

May the Seven Maccabees pray for us on this their feast day.
Sir Knight, did you have your Chick-fil-A today?
In all seriousness, I fear this is just a stepping stone to what Michael Voris has revealed in several recent Vortex episodes.
It's worse. Hidden within the fine print is a rule that will effectively require all members of health plans to contribute at least $1 a month to an abortion fund, apparently (if I'm reading it correctly) to get around federal law that prohibits taxpayer funding of these abortions. Consequently employers are forbidden from telling people if they're paying for insurance that covers sterilization, contraceptives, and abortifacients.
Dear liberty, O dear liberty, you departed from our presence but we will continue to fight in your honor. For hundreds of years you guided this country, and now, you only remain in our hearts as a memory. With the grace of God and a lot of fight, maybe, just maybe, your daughter freedom will rise to take your place in the United States of America, as the rightful Queen of this land.
Succintly put... and depressing. Yes, I do feel like going to Chick-fil-A for a milkshake. Makes me wonder what kind of world our kids are going to be living in when we are gone.
Knight--the Catholic church is the single largest voting body in the USA true? The Church cannot sit on the sidelines much longer. These oppressive laws and policies aren't that of a party they are that of a government against a people. Are there any outspoken priest in our Church who are real leaders? The only thing I see in the media about Catholics is sex scandal and financial scandal---why doesn't the Church with all its power do something noteworthy? I myself have been looking at the Eastern orthodox church due to the deafening silence of the complicit Catholic church---being silent of the deluge of ongoing crime and murder against the global flock makes the Church complicit to me.
the Catholic church is the single largest voting body in the USA true
false, sort of. It is not a single voting body. In fact, the Church is not a voting body at all. Its individual members are voters.
at least on this issue (the HHS contraception/abortion mandate) the Church leaders have not been silent. Of course, they do not get the MSM coverage that the issue deserves - only the sex and financial scandals get MSM attention. But that is not the fault of the Church; obviously it is the fault of the MSM. Did you miss that Fortnight for Freedom thingy?
Sir Knight, allow me to speak in German, as I believe English will not suffice for my outburst against Obama.
Obama... Unter allen ausgerechnet Obama! Das ist der schlimmst Verrat von allen! Um sich zu autorisieren behauptet er ich wäre KRANK! Ja, vielleicht schon TOT!!!

looks like our only real hope now is to focus on reestablishing the social kingship of Christ. Pope Pius XI offered some concrete ways in Quas Primas. Please check out this websiite, join us on Facebook, and sign the petition. www.processionsacrossamerica.com.

Catholic Knight - Glad to have you back from vacation!
One note I would like to make is that words have meanings, and the enemy is an expert at using language, and more importantly, dictating what words we use, and that is one of the main reasons for the state we are in. When we use the words they tell us to use, we have already lost. The words they choose for us become the status quo and those new words change the meaning - significantly.
You said "Religious Liberty in the United States has always existed in two parts. The first part is Freedom of Worship, meaning the right to worship God as you see fit..
A quick cut and Paste from a Fr. Z post:
"THE words “freedom of belief” do not appear in the First Amendment. Nor do the words “freedom of worship.” Instead, the Bill of Rights guarantees Americans something that its authors called “the free exercise” of religion. [The Obama Administration is trying to redefine "freedom of religion" as "freedom of worship", which would marginalize Catholics from voicing in the public square a Catholic position on social issues.]"

Sir Knight, true to form we can expect the dumbed down american electorate, including catholics to vote overwhelmingly for Barry's second term. Pete Frey3
Welcome back CK!
Just an interesting sidenote:
The date of implementation 8/01/12 was a full moon and on the month of a blue moon. Lots of significance for those followers of false religion. i.e. occultists. They tend to begin and end things according to significant events in their strange superstitious world.
Philipino catholic: that is some nice German aber night notwendig. I wouldn't waste such beautiful language on a puppet clown.
Paul,
I was quoting the film Der Untergang/Downfall. Ever seen Hitler Rants about this and that on YT? It's that movie.
The sad reality is that our own bishops were passive in the face of growing evil within and outside the church. Passivity at the top allowed the mainstream culture to dominate Catholics in the pews and then these same parishoners voted for a President who will kill more of his own citizens than any foreign leader ever could.
I am willing to bet that our "hapless bunch of bishops" will NOT stand up against the HHS as push comes to shove. No, the will do as Cardinal Yuk Yuk has done and invite enemies of the Church to dinners and them them honors at universities, etc.
ONE priest has stood up--Fr. Frank Pavone and the Priests for Life. Of course this strongest voice for the unborn is persecuted even by his own bishop who has tried to shut him down. The enemy is within.
