Traditional Latin Mass Explained

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: The following is a traditional Latin mass ("Tridentine" of "Mass of Saint Pius V") explained and narrated. It is a 'low mass,' meaning that it is mostly spoken, not chanted or sung as in a 'high mass.' This takes away from some of the grandeur, but it is still beautiful nonetheless.

Gregorian Chant -- Bring It Back

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: All across the United States and Canada, in places just like this Alabama church, Catholic choirs are training in the beautiful simplicity of Gregorian chant. Pope Benedict XVI called for the return of Gregorian Chant in his recent apostolic exhortation Sacramentum Caritatis. If your church choir hasn't already started training, better tell them to get on the ball.
"Finally, while respecting various styles and different and highly praiseworthy traditions, I desire, in accordance with the request advanced by the Synod Fathers, that Gregorian chant be suitably esteemed and employed as the chant proper to the Roman liturgy."

Brave Priest Stands Up To Gay Agenda

Leah Vader grew up in the Catholic church. She went to Catholic school. She took communion every week. But on March 1, she got a letter from the Rev. Cliff Jacobson, the pastor of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, which she attends.

The letter said that “because of your union and your public advocacy of same-sex unions, that you are unable to receive communion.”

Vader and her spouse, Lynne Huskinson, were married in Canada. They’ve been outspoken advocates for gay rights. Vader brought Huskinson to the church and she was baptized in 2000. The two have been a fixture at the church since 1998...
